Can I use a gen II head gasket from a 96/99-up for my 97 GTS? about 4X for the 97-98 only.
Also can head bolts be re-used?
THanks

Dave, You've got mail.

Rob you can re-use the bolts [3 or 4 times]. Flame suite on!

I reused mine as per Chuck and no problems whatsoever almost a year and a half later! Doug Levin once told me as long as the bolts are not corroded and look new they can be reused as well. I would only reuse them once...if I had to do my head gaskets or heads over once again, I'd go with a new set from Mopar...

It is very simple, if you use a mechanical fastener and torque it to less than the limits of the bolts elastic elongation, then it can be used again. The torque value used on the GenII head bolt hardly works the bolt at all. The Gen1 bolts on the other hand are worked deep into elastic elongation.
