Is it absolutely necessary to remove the heads for T&D/Mopar rocker install? I've got my heads off, so if I have to I can have the machine work done while they are off, but I'd rather not have to do this.

One good thing if the heads are off is you don't have to blow air into the cylinders through the sparkplug hole to hold the valve closed while you change the rockers / springs, retainers etc

The geometry is easy to obtain with the shims and the heads attached. If you can obtain a centered range of movement of the rocker on the valve I don't see any advantage of milling the heads. Perhaps someone who has machined the heads for the install can add to this.

ViperJoe,

I've already changed the springs, valves, and retainers because I just had my heads ported and changed cams. Hey Jack, keep working on that VEC2 issue because I'm gonna fire mine up next week sometime and don't want to deal with this problem. You guys work hard ok. Put in those extra hours. :D
