Enable your Email Notification of Private Messages.. read

If you are not getting notifications of a Private Message by means of your Email. Go to your home page, scroll to bottom of page & click on edit
" Subscribe / Unsubscribe from receiving forum posts by email, change message notifications, etc. "

Check "Yes" & you will get a email that someone is trying to send you a PM.
