I think you have it correct, as the Carrera GT at mega dollars, isn't a ragtop, so it should go to the Snake.

Gee fastest Production truck, fastest convertible, ...I see a trend , ha.

Fastest stock ragtop produced in the world meaning...the present-day production convertible passenger certified vehicle currently available for sale that sports the highest top speed? Whew. LOL

Sure, it'd be interesting to view say the top 5...now go on and post the list will ya. :)

present day: For a roadster it would have to be the Carrera GT (205 mph). But if were talking about something with a soft-top, it would be the SRT-10.

SL65(de-speed limited)?, also possibly not really considered a rag top. Murcialago roadster?, pagini zonda roadster, Koeningsegg? and like Bill P said Porsche CGT, and of course the snake.

Strictly ragtop murcialago roadster., or pagini roadster, & the SRT, 550 Barchetta(not in production any more), topspeed of the new F430 Ferrari ??, So in anycase a car that can be easily obtained or afforded the SRT should win hands down. I was told that on test tracks the SRT prototype/preproduction cars did top 200mph.

That's a good point Sylvan. I remember now that the Murcielago and the 550 both use softtops for their roadsters, and hit around 200 and 198 respectively. SRT-10 definitely wins for under $180k though

THE DODGE VIPER SRT/10 - A PRODUCTION CAR WHICH IF YOU WANTED A NEW ONE TODAY
YOU COULD GO DIRECTLY TO YOUR DODGE DEALER AND GET ONE.

WAY TO GO DODGE, I FOR ONE SEE WHAT YOU HAVE DONE AND STILL CONTINUE TO DO.

ALL THE BASHER'S ON THE SRT/10 AND NEW COUPE JUST DONT GET IT.

WE ALL WANTED MORE IN GEN III AND FRANKLY I FEEL YOU DELIVERED. 500/500/500

A REAL RAGTOP WITH NO ELECTRONIC GIZMO TO OPEN IT WITH WORLD CLASS SPEED
AND BRAKING TO BOOT.

WHY DO GEN I AND GEN II BASH ITS ARSS END SO MUCH ? MOST LIKELY THEIR TIRED OF
SEEING IT WHEN TRYING TO KEEP UP.

THE GTS GUYS ASKED FOR A NEW COUPE WITH BETTER PERFORMENCE AND THEY GET IT!!!!
HOWEVER NOW STATE MULTIBLE REASONS WHY THEY WONT BUY IT. BLAH BLAH BLAH !!!!
PLEASE GUYS COMPARE YOUR GTS WITH THE SRT COUPE AND TELL US THAT ITS NOT
IMPROVED. ( IT IS SO MUCH MORE THEN WHAT IT WAS. )

THE NEW COUPE WILL WHIP THE GTS'S ARSS IN A HUGE WAY, FROM POWER TO PERFORMANCE.
( THAT BOYS IS THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH )

WOW THEY EVEN GET THEIR MOST FAVORED COLOR AND STILL WHINE. ( MAN YOU TALK
ABOUT NOT BEING ABLE TO PLEASE PEOPLE. I FEEL THE WHINER'S ARE THE MOST
UNGREATFULL OWNERS AROUND. )

ALL THIS BEING SAID, I LOVE ALL VIPERS - PERIOD.

AND OF COURSE THIS IS A FORM AND JUST MY SOLE OPINION. :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Believe the Murcialago roadster is limited to about 100 mph with its "ragtop" installed. Only reaches real speeds with top removed. If you do not remove it prior to high speeds, it will remove itself aerodynamically.

Wanted, I don't think that the Gen I/II guys are arguing that the Gen 3 cars do indeed have marginally better performance.

I think it's more along the lines for having the guy who designed the Toyota Camry design this car. Also, there is an interesting button on the keyboard, right under "Tab"

If the SRT is only marginally better than the GTS with regard to performance, how would you describe the performance characterists of the Z06 and Ford GT versus the SRT?

Since apparantly both of those cars 'smoke' the underperforming SRT, I would read into prior statements that marginal begets oceans apart.

The T-Rex was an amazing animal. However, it is still a dinosaur.
