Side Exhaust Drone - Solution!!

Side exhaust was louder than I liked, especially in and around town - "DRONE". Looked at several possible solutions. Installed Dynatech Vortex 3" cones (Jegs.com) between the turnout tailpipe and the muffler exit. Reduced "DRONE" noise by 25% - 30% during normal driving. Overall volume reduced as well....but, wide open throttle still packs a punch! No noticeable loss of power. Best of both worlds!

Sorry, no pictures. The website for these cones has good pictures showing the installation in the end of the header collector. The install is very straight forward. I used rivets (even though the mfg. did not recommend).

I did the same thing on my SRT, and it worked wonders! Went from way too loud to just right.
