Just for the record, the final leg of this cruise (maybe 6 miles) is along Dune road where the speed limit is 35mph.

OK, here's some initial plans and directions. We'll need another meet location (or 2) on Long Island....maybe on the service road of the LIE?

Here's some plans:

Figure the Manhattan group will meet at 9:00 AM at 34th & 1st.

From Manhattan and all points west:

This is the "scenic" route.

Long Island Expressway to exit #70 (Route 111 South).
Make first right after exit (Mobil Station) and continue till road ends
At end of road make left onto Route 27 East
Continue on Rte 27 East to exit #63 Westhampton Beach
Take exit 63 and continue past Coast Guard Airfield & over LI RR Tracks
After RR tracks, go straight at next traffic light crossing Montauk Hiway
At next traffic light, make Make SOFT (not immediate) left onto Mill Road
Continue on Mill Road about 1/4 mile to Main Street
Make left on Main and immediate right onto Beach Lane ("To Beach")
Take Beach Lane over bridge and make left on Dune Road
Take Dune road to it's end and make left turn into Oakland's parking lot.

OK, looks like we've taken care of the price fixed menu. Lunch (choice of appetizer, choice of main course, coffee/tea and desert) should come in at $25 a person....which we are hoping will not be an issue for ANYONE. If we're wrong in that assessment PLEASE PM me! I don't want event prices to ever be an issue for any member (unless you own 2 Vipers ).

Raffle tickets for the VIPAIR Cold Air Induction System will be $10. T-Shirts are $20.
(Dang if I'm not always selling! )

Almost forgot...If you are planning on coming, please let me know only because the restaurant wants a head count for the food. I'd rather tell them a few too many than too few. Some of you guys get real ornery if you don't get fed!

Yeah, I know Nader...
We'll probably send folks home the quick way, right over the bridge to 27 west, but the route I outlined will take everyone on Dune road past some of the classic Hampton Homes.

Be happy to post the quickest route if anyone's interested.

That is the place. Hasn't changed much - not that I go there. Nontheless, it is a nice ride down dune road. I will definitely make it but mostlikely will be out there already. I hope the weather is nice.
