Can someone tell me the additional speed produced by eliminating 1 lb of weight off the Vipers. In other words if I were to remove 400 lbs , how much additional speed will be attained say 1/4 mile or 0-60.

Just curious, I'm trying to figure out the correlation between weight and speed.

Cheers :2tu:

REALLY.............I would have thought it would be alot more. So what we are saying is that if stock is 3.7 sec 0-60 then by eliminating 400 lbs we are now producing output of 3.3 sec. 0-60. I'm just wondering since the car would be lighter if traction will now become an issue.

Very interesting. Thanks Chuck !!!

I think the .1 for 100 lbs applies to the 1/4 mile, not 0-60. I think it would probably be 1/2 of 1 tenth for 0-60.
