This video has been seen and discussed here and elsewhere for a long time. Many people believe it to be a staged accident. It certainly looks real enough, but it is interesting that:
1. The only outside the car camera shot in the whole video when the cars are moving just conveniently happens to be where the Viper goes over the side. Amazing coincidence. The rest of the race footage is from inside one or the other cars.
2. You would think the camera man would have continued to film the Viper after it went over, to capture it tumbling and falling. But it ends there until the final (blurry and short) video of the car at the bottom of the ravine.
3. You really can't clearly see what car that is at the "bottom", it is very hard to tell if it is the same.
I say a really good fake.
