Is any using the Michelin pilot sport 2? Have you used them at the track for drag racing or auto-x? How do the Sport 2 compare to the older michelin sports?

Much better in the dry than the old PS. There was a thread a while back asking the same question.

I just put on PS'2, far better traction. It is a strange compound, the same wear rating the old PS series, but, a far softer material. I used to spin anywhere in second gear, it now sticks. It is far better than any of the previous series including the MX3's which was a much lower wear rating.

It is also strange in the way the rain grooves align. The tires have an outside, but, the grooves face different direction on the left and right sides. The bad part is the cost, the rears are close to $800 after shipping. Make sure you get them wheel matched and road force balanced
