I have an oil pan leak on the back corner for 3 bolts on my 96 GTS. I am going to try to re-torque the bolts to see if it will stop the leak. What do the oil pan bolts torque at on a 96 GTS?

I have been told the bolt holes go all the way through the block. Do you need to drain the oil before you take a bolt out to put the teflon on to keep all the oil from draining from the bolt hole when you remove the bolt?

No need to drain the oil. Per some other posts and help from the Wizard, I first used some starting fluid to clean the area. Then applied some gasket maker to the bolts and torqued to spec.

Good luck!
