Default Keep my dad in your prayers

Hey guys, will those of you who believe in prayer please say one for my dad? He's had to be hospitialized because of extreme breathing problems. For the past year or so, his breathing has been really bad and he has seen specialist after specialist and had dozens of tests run. Nothing has ever shown up and they have to juggle his medicine because what works one week wont work the next. According to the doctors, he has know picked up asthma which has made his condition much much worse

Just as a little rant, tonight at the hospital, he was doing ok until he walked from his bed to the bathroom and that "excited" him and his breathing got extremely bad. The nurse who was suppose to be bringing a nebulizer to him (before he got up to go to the restroom) had totally disappeared and it took them 45 damn minutes to get a nebulizer up to his room so he could get on some breathing treatments

Will put in some good words for you. Try to remain calm here. You be the rock in this situation. Nice, but firm, with the staff at the hospital.

Consider it done. Hang in there.

I just went through a cancer scare with my dad, and after months of tests, he's cancer-free. Thank God.

Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers guys! Tonight, he seemed to be a lot better. He wasn't having nearly the difficulty talking that he was having last night and had no panic attacks. The hospital has taken him off all his medicine (??) and only have him on oxygen. Not sure I agree, but they are the ones with the medical degrees. They said they are going to slowly wing him off the oxygen machine and see how he reacts. If all goes well, he should be going home either tomorrow or Wednesday . Again, thanks for the prayers

Good to hear... we'll keep our line of communication open with the man upstairs for good measure.

I messed up in my original post. My dad ALREADY had asthma which is what was causing some of his breathing problems the past year (which we already knew). What landed him in the hospital was he has picked up pneumonia sometime recently and when combined with the asthma really started kicking his butt.

Is he doing any better? I've been saying prayers!

Hey guys, my dad came home from the hospital late today. Still not 100%, but with me having the flu and my mom having bronchitis, he's the wellest (is that a word?) person here
