That's a quirk in the forum software. I've noticed it and reported it before but I think it was not something that can be easily changed.

You can change the title and it will change within the thread EXCEPT for the lead post.

I'll mention it to MP again and he if he doesn't yell at me. LOL

ETA: I believe once you make a post, you cannot change the title as it appears in the thread list, but an admin or moderator can do it for you if needed.
