Help! My Radio Settings Don't Stick..Is There A Battery in the Radio???

So, everytime I get in my 98 RT/10, I have to set the stations and the bass/treble settings.:omg: I have the factory Alpine setup with no mods at all. I had this problem way back with an Alpine radio where the face was removable.

How can I fix the problem or is it more serious and the radio has to be dismantled?:dunno: Or, will a few select bangs fix it?:bonker::bonker:

Thanks.:headbang:

According to a 1999 service manual, there are three feeds to the radio. Fuse 1 is power from the headlight switch, Fuse 4 is supplied through the ignition switch, and Fuse 13 is direct from the battery. Sounds like when the key is on and fuse 4 is powered, you can play the radio, but that fuse 13, which is constant power, is not working.

If this is correct then your power mirrors aren't working either.

Thanks....wish I had power mirrors,:dunno: but I missed it by a year... have a 98. But, since the radio is the same, I would be the fuse setup is the same. Will check it out.

Appreciate the explanation.:headbang:
