Please welcome Big-n-Italian to the ranks of our Moderator staff. John is a long time and well respected member of our site and The Viper Club of America. He has close to 7000 posts here so we thought as long as he is spending his whole life here why not put him to work.
Actually John has worked on the site with us when we had the old software. He along with Photshop guru Austin was responsible for a lot of the graphics and uploading of most of the Avatatr here, this goes back to when you had to have a Mod do an Avatar for you, how far we have come from those days!
John is also the complete car guy as he not only has the Viper but is doing a ground up restoration of an old Mopar AND he has a really neat Fire Chief classic car, it's ummm, a Ford Falcon, well, nobodys perfect.
Please welcome John.

Explaining Viper things to you
OK. This is going to be tough on me. I mean, does a Post Queen Class Clown Ricer want another Sheriff trying to taze his athletic white over-the-calf socks? Go easy on me Big. I kick and scream like a girl when I'm pinned!

Congrats. :headbang: While we are talking about about how things used to be and how far they have come, can we please come up with an easier and faster way to post pictures of Vipers and VCA events? Uploading 3 scaled down pictures at a time and waiting forever for it to happen or copying and pasting each individual html link is driving me nuts and way too time consuming. There are many great pics I could post but I give up because it's using up all my free time. :rant:Sorry for getting off track, maybe we should have a Suggestions To Improve The VCA Forum Section? :dunno:

Board and Site Questions and Suggestions ;)

And, if you host your images on some place like photobucket, you can include links to as many pictures as you want in a single post. Photobucket even gives you the proper tag syntax for every image..just cut and paste! If you need any help with this, let me know!

on my website kelly, and in my photobucket software i have a setting that allows me to change the number of pics i can download at a time. we may want to have someone look into this. i believe 3 is the minimum and it can be increased to quite a bit more unless there is a reason to keep it at 3.

I tried photobucket and wasn't impressed and do host my pictures on another site. Hence the cut and paste for every image, how about post or upload many at a time? I upload as many as I want to the photo hosting site at one time, but can't do that here.:dunno:

The 'batch upload' function on most image hosting sites allows you to select multiple files from your local computer and actually transfer a copy of them to that site.

Linking to an image on, say photobucker via the [img] tag doesn't actually upload anything to our server, it just tells your browser to go out and get it from wherever it sits on the internet and display it on the page. Thus, you have to specify each image individually.

When the software here reads the vBulletin code and sends it to your browser it has to convert it to HTML, so the [img] tag becomes the <img src="...."> html tag before it's sent.

As a hood... it looks silly enough as it is (silly in a badass way), but at first glance, I though you had some monster airscoop on your roof! :rolaugh:

That would be sooo cartoony lame! :crazy2:

to keep the beast cool, there is going to be an extra radiator mounted where the back seat used to be. the big roof scoop was placed there to direct airflow into that radiator.

not sure about hp yet. i am expecting about 850. engine is a 542.

here is the engine start up video i made last year. it sounded insane.

the car gets paint in the next month or so, then the assembly begins. i think every part is now plated, powdercoated or painted and ready for assembly. i was installing more fuel line tonight and i still want to safety wire the brake calipers sometime tonight too.
