Speedo Cluster Replacement

Seeing as I live in a country where the speeeds and distances are posted in Kilometers, I've found a metric speedo cluster, and was wondering what would be involved in the swap.

Would it work immediatly after installing it?
Would the BCM need to be set to metric?
Anything to know besides the actual intall?

i swapped my euro KM speedo to a US speedo on my GTS, no problems or messing around just a straight swap, dont know about the gen3 though

or there maybe a KM cluster in this breaker to be had much cheaper

Very easy. Just install and it will show the correct km you have on the vehicle. The bcm does not need to be reset in anyway. I just installied a 2009 metric cluster in my 2004 viper. No problems at all.
