I wanted to ask if a complete rear housing assembly from a 2008 ACR with a Quaife 3:55 will bolt into a 2006 Gen-III Vert?? A friend is selling his ACR and offered his Diff assembly to me for 2k. The diff has approximitly 1000 miles on the Quaife, axle assembly and housing. This sounds like a fair price, am I correct??

FWIW, I just purchased a Brand New Stock '08 Diff w/ 3.55's (already installed) from Unitrax for 2K.

Shortly I'll be looking to sell my factory stock diff (3.07 gears - 500 miles). Thinking of asking around ~1K.

With the Quaife, it sounds like a fair deal to me.

I'd call Devon at Unitrax. He will likely know.

I know there was a change during production in 2008 where Dodge upgraded the strength of the 1/2 shalfts. They may or may not have changed the spline numbers or shaft size - wish I could help more.

the 2008 diff may or may not work with a Gen III.

I'd like to know too, so please post when you find out.

I installed a 2006 rear diff with a 3.55 Quaife into my '08 so I would assume it will go the other way around.

yes it will fit any 03-09
all housing will slide in acr or non acr.
2k is a deal, although you lose your limited warranty
viso locs are not so hot compared to a quaife or superlock
put a viso behind turbo, will not last to long.
however, they are a big upgrade over the 03-06 hydrolock that srt contracted though dana, worst oem rearend ever produced and installed in a production car.
