Just got back from SEMA and was shocked not to find any Vipers on display- other than 2 in the Mopar garage.
It was definitely a love fest for the new Camaro however- they were everywhere.

Hopefully PRI will be beter for us Viper fans :dunno:

We were hoping to get mine up there for the Forged Distributing booth, but since we are getting ready for a big wheel release we decided that we would get them on the car and try and get it up there next year.

They obviously do not want to waste any time and money on something that is being discontinued.

That would be the reason as far as factory, but 2 were in the Mopar garage shown above.
Most cars are displayed to draw people to booths regardless of production status. Many vendors just chose not to use them for displays :(
Fidanza did tell me they will have their Gen IV at PRI, so at least that will be one.

It's cool, they made up for it with the following:
Zonda
XJ220
C1 Corvette
12 second HMMWV
DC/AllSpeed/Josh Kalis genI Camaro
Matte black F430

Yes, to my shock that is a 2006 unit. From 50 yards away I just assumed it was a GEN IV, with razor type wheels. It does not matter what's going on with the Vipers future, they should have had at least one GEN IV at the show. I did not walk outside in the front of the show much, but other than the two Vipers in Mopar Alley, I only saw one other race type Viper at SEMA:(

This years SEMA was definately the year of the Challenger and Camaro....tons of both cars in various forms on display.

Cheers,
George

Funny, I didn't see a single car you listed that would "make up for it."

One of the companies had a Yellow Gen II RT/10 on their billboard and Jeff Courtney's Speed GT Comp Coupe was on display. It really was a big pony car show.

Sorry, but that Zonda is the Fugliest thing I have ever seen. What the hell is that abortion supposed to be? Some kind of mechanical A$$hole? Certainly nothing like our beautiful Vipers!

I forgot to mention that I saw the Devon GTX at the HRE wheel booth. First time I've seen it in person, actually looked better than the pics. I guess that counts for a semi Viper sighting.

But, it did have the worst case of spider like paint swirls. The details guys were just getting ready to start on it Monday night but I didn't go back during the show to see if the paint correction came out good.

Best Viper I saw during the show was not at the show...pulling into the Circus Circus Friday night after SEMA was a white convertible with the plates WTMAMBA IIRC. Sounded ******** coming through the buildings. Is that anyone on this forum?

Cheers,
George

The other viper was the one from wanted. It did have an interesting feature, it had a piece of molding across the top of the windshield/hardtop. It looked as if the top would be removeable. Anyway, it was gated off so I could get too close.
