A week ago, I purchased a 2001 RT10. Are there any issues specific to the 2001? Is the issue with the pulleys an issue with the 2001? Would appreciate any input you can give me.

Had my '01 for over 40,000 miles and 7 years. I can't recall any "'01 specific" issues. Regardless, TIRES! What's on your '01? If they're original or even more than 4 years old, get rid of them for PS2's.

In 2001, Dodge had a run of bad water pump impellers, that would start to rotate on the impeller drive shaft. I had mine replaced under warranty years ago. When it let go, the temperature started climbing towards 250. I dont know of any other 2001 specific poblems.

Only issue I can think of is they are in the biggest demand along with the 02's. Best two years the Viper was built IMHO. Best looks, ABS, and best color choices. 
On a serious note the only thing I have heard about is the water pump impeller spins on the shaft after time. Not really a big deal. Some people also swap out the power steering bracket and pulleys on these cars.

Yep! I did. One of our sponsors makes it in billet. Too bad it's not very visible, cause it's nice lookin.
