Hi fellow Viper owners in the UK, we have two couples that flew into London Thursday night on the way to Rome to catch a ship for a cruise. They are still there as of Saturday 2 pm Arizona time and have finally located a hotel to stay until the current situation is over. They have tried train, car rental etc but everything is at a standstill as you know.
Would anyone have any suggestions that we have not already thought of ?
Thank you in advance

it seems there will be no flights Monday and maybe tuesday as well, probably all full but the only options are ferry, the euro tunnel, or eurostar train into France/Belgium and drive or take a train across, though a one way car rental to Rome would probably cost more than their cruise

there's a guy here on a forum we use that has an unwanted tunnel ticket, that leaves tomorrow am

Eurotunnel tickets for Monday 19th April tickets for Monday 19th April

it been quite funny that guys with Ribs and big outboards have been acting as a taxi service, wacking across the 22 miles of the English Channel to France

BBC News - Volcanic ash spreads more travel misery across Europe

i know of people stuck all over the place as far away as Australia, still at least your firends have a hotel and arent sleeping at the airport

Thanks for the ideas, our freinds are now in Reading at a hotel and have decided to do more sight seeing while there and enjoy the area, they have a reservation on a bus on the 26th for a trip to Rome and then will catch a plane back to the US. With so many people stranded it is better to wait till things settle down/ we hope.
