My name is David and I live here in SoCal (Diamond Bar) & I just picked up my 1998 GTS yesterday and I'm loving it. I'm looking forward to get some more drive time with her. She is completely stock but I'm looking into putting some wheels on her first then probably an exhaust. I've owned several different style cars but this is something different.

Be careful with it. Discover it's true potential by taking a High Performance Driving course. Join the VCA and get out there with the 'old' guys and they'll do some teaching.

Dump the stock Cats. PS2s are 'the' tires to run.

Congrats and enjoy!

The stock exhaust is really tame it's quiet like my honda. I'll check out Socal Viper. Thanks

One of the best ways to choose an exhaust is to see/hear the cars in person.
We'll have 20 -30 vipers heading to Big Bear next weekend. It would be a great time to see/hear some of the options.

Choosing exhaust can also be done by searching through all the exhaust threads and listening to the videos. Idle and WOT have different characteristics.
YouTube - rtttted

These pages have Corsa with highflows and stock manifolds (ACR).
track Corsa, headers, Cat delete with 10# Roe sc and Random Tech exhaust with stock manifolds and Hi-flow Cats (5# Roe sc).

Keep in mind that the Gen 2s have a much more mellow sound because they have long exhaust tubing and crossovers.
