Event: Central Texas VCA Holiday Party
Meeting place: County Line Bar-B-Q, located at 111 W. Crocket Street, San Antonio, TX 78205 (www.countyline.com)
Time: Meet at 5:30pm, reservations for the group are at 6:00pm, December 11, 2010
Description/special instructions: SAVE THE DATE!
The Central Texas VCA Club has put together a special treat for all members. This holiday season we have reserved special seating for VCA members at the County Line Bar-B-Q location on San Antonio's own River Walk! The world famous River Walk will be filled with Holiday spirit with over 122,000 lights creating canopies over the river and Holiday Boat Caroling (Joyous caroling fills the evening air along the San Antonio River Walk as more than 185 school, church, company, and civic choral groups ring in the holidays by singing traditional carols on cruising boats. The eclectic mix of participants includes bell choirs, folk groups, Latino ensembles and hearing-impaired performers. Join visitors from around the world in impromptu sing-a-longs from the patios of River Walk restaurants). We will be dining on the river and enjoying everything this spectacular land mark has to offer. After dinner there are several local attractions on the river to enjoy as well. Feel free to reserve a room at any one of the numerous hotels and make a night of the event.
Dress will be casual (this is an indoor/outdoor restaurant so you may want to dress warm or in layers as weather permits).
Parking: If staying at a hotel garage parking is free, all other is pay parking and a lot of it downtown, several garage parking to choose from (I usually park at the garage by Rivercenter Mall on Bowie St between Commerce and Market St, $8/night)
You are welcome to bring your Viper but no special parking can be arranged for this downtown location. Daily drivers are fine; just get here somehow to enjoy food and festivities with fellow VCA members!
