I think Obama since he's taking a sh#$-kicking in the polls should threaten the oil futures traders about "dumping" 20% of the strategic petroleum reserves if traders keep pushing oil up in order to help the middle-class and aid their economic recovery. He could also encourage oil drilling both on and offshore within the US borders to bring down the price of oil.

Will he do this? Probably not! He'll do something for the majority of the population as fast as he's put to bed the rumors of his foreign birth. If we had Bush or McCain or even Sarah Palin in office, they'd have pushed domestic oil production long ago and kept domestic oil producers making high margins and paying lots in tax to help government spending.

I tend to buy some oil stocks as a counterbalance to rising gas prices. Up goes the cost of gas, up go oil stocks, up go my dividends... Every little bit helps--kinda like paying off the devil, but... I also have a 72 Honda 600 coupe for those short runs to the corner store. .

'Can't beat them, join them' .Kinda of thinking people had to adapt in communist countries . Pretty sad situation
When I retire in a year or so , I may have to use my 58 Matchless more often than my Viper or SUV . Insurance is also cheaper for the collector bike

Yea, how is all the "Hope and Change" going for you.....we have more socialistic programs being tried every day (per Pelosi, we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in the bill), look at the cities and states that may file bankruptcy this year, unemployment really up over 15% yet we keep paying people to stay home for another year....we are also close to 50% people will NOT be paying any income tax to pay for this "power-grab" economy that is barely floating, food is going up as I write this, soon anything brought to market will have to increase with oil going up, yet Obama loaned $2 Billion to south america to do drilling and he wants to regulate every drilling done in the gulf...what is really wrong with this picture....oh yea, Bush is starting to look better already !!??

Most of what you said may be true, however one thing is for sure. Bush was a D-bag and we are still better off without him.
