Hello

How much Torco (oz ) must be added with 15 gal of 93 octane pump gas to get 97, 104 , 107 octane ???

(Torco web site provide mixing for for 10(about 1/2 tank) and 20( too much) gallons only.)

any thoughts/facts/ numbers on using torco with gen4 vipers in terms of performance,hp gain and safety ??

I have mopar pcm and 93oct available in my area that is why i asked for the mix with 93 octane.

thanks

sorry, seems that my brain was not working when i started this question.
It is simple :
to get 97 add 1.6 oz for every gallon.
to get 104 add 3.2 oz for every gallon.
to get 107 add 6.4 oz for every gallon.

may be my brain needs some Torco lol

I haven't seen too many pros/cons on using higher octane. Someone logging "knock" ought to have some insight into the benefits.

Gen IV with headers, exhaust, ported intake, mopar race controller will see (increased hp / tq) benefits of additional octane.

Not crazy about Torco as a fuel additive as it leaves reddish brown deposits on your spark plugs, valves and in the combustion chamber.

Better to mix your 93 with a quality 100 octane pump gas.

DC Performance can provide you with input on this subject.

Agree with ViperX, mix with 100 octane, not Torco. DC has shown us what Torco does to the plugs etc. 4 gallons of 100 and 12 of 91 gets you to 93.25, mix to 94 plus for best results. Running 91 on the street it's fine with the Mopar ECU, save the extra octane expense for the track or dyno. Mike

I use 93 octane all time, never used any thing less than 93.

I would like to get into 97 octane, how i can do that ??

what blend is better to use and give noticeable result with the mods i currently is it 95,97or 104 octane ??

Sorry, I thought I read you couldn't get 93. (91 is the max out here in the West and thought CT may be the same).

Just use a claculator to figure out the mix 93 and 100 to get what you want. 16 gallon tank, 8 of 100 and 8 of 93 will get you to 96.5.

Check the experts like Dan at DC or Mark J at Woodhouse. I think they'll tell you no gains past 95 octane on a NA Gen IV.

Good luck, Mike

Lee, yeah CA only has 91, same with AZ, think there are some other states out west that also max at 91.

CA 93; 12 gallons of 91 at $4.00, 4 gallons of 100 at $8.99, comes out to $5.25 gallon.

As others have said Torco isnt the best and will leave the plugs and pistons with a reddish brown residue. I used to use this on my 04Z and the plugs would foul a lot earlier.

I just got rid of an 820 rwhp LS3 and used KLOTZ addative. It burns MUCH cleaner than Torco and you can buy it it 55 gallon drums. I will be using it on the Vipe when I do the bolt ons and get my tune. Check out Klotz, most cost effecient way to go.
