And we sure have a hell of a lot of it at the Viper Club of America!:2tu::usa:

Not only is that a big jump from the 08 ACR but a huge improvement over any other of it's competition and a Phenomonal testament to the commitment that Dodge and SRT have put into place. Today will go down in history as the dawn of a new era for Dodge Viper and something that the VCA should be very proud of. This sheer feet of performance can not get enough coverage.

Great Job SRT and Dodge

Re: Dodge takes back the record!

The ACR-X also set a blistering time of 7:03:xx. THis is incredible news for Viper and a HUGE thanks to all involved.

Congrats to the entire group over there!!! Way to GO!!

Okay, onto my next question:

1) Are the record breaking ACR's coming back to Tomball and still "for sale"....this no car payment issue might have to be solved!

2) Should be sending skirts to the Lexus and Corvette teams?

Regards,
Aaron

JUST the kind of news we certainly welcome, thanks Marv for posting it, Tomball Dodge for donating the ACRs, Mintgen for the logistics (Hey, can never go wrong with Comp Coupe background :2tu: ), and of course the SRT Engineer Team. Needed the 'boost' (;)). Nice to see return to the 'Ring. As said: KUDOS!

Thanks for bringing back the ring......

So what does Chevy or Lexus say to this? They did their best in 2011 to beat Dodge's 2008 technology and then when they finally did, they got beat by Doge's 2010 technology....can't wait for 2012

When SRT left the Nurburgring back in 08, they said "teens" were possible, but they were wrong...

"TWELVES" WERE POSSIBLE!

Freeking fantastic job!!! Respect to the team players-

Whether the Gumpert is truly a "production car" is a moot point, because only about a second separates the ACR from the Apollo. On a track that is like 12.9 miles long, with over 70 turns, maybe over 100 depending on how they are counted, one second isn't worthy of mention.

When the ZR1 did their 7:19, it was because of, and in answer to, the Viper's earlier stellar time of 7:22. Then SRT went back and secured a 7:12xx, which shows that the competition spurred SRT to greater heights. That's what competition does, it keeps one from resting on their "laurels".

Anyway, it's really great to see that ugly piece of shiite LFA dethroned. I hate that car, it's so smug.

TEN YEARS IN DEVELOPMENT? $400,000.00?

HAH HAH HAH HAH HA ha ha ha!!!!!!!!!! That's funny! The white L-F-Ant.

Now maybe Top Gear will quit saying American cars can't corner, now that we DEMOLISHED their best Lambos, Enzos, production Ferraris of every kind, Porsches, etc, etc.

Whose the cornering ******* now, Jezza?

I went to bed while waiting for the results, just woke up and saw a 7:12.xx and I'm still in shock. Well done to everyone that was involved with making this happen.

the craziest thing is to this day people still think vipers are straight line only. they get so worked up over ferraris lambos gtrs and vettes but never seem to remember how the gts tore up f355s and the gen3 tore up ptts and gallardos and how the gen4 has crushed everything akin to thors hammer....

well lexus guys you built the best car you could with an endless budget and vette lovers you had your tires you cried about...

what now?

that 7.12 will stand a few years or till the gen5 comes out

ALL OVER
way to go dodge.

obviously SRT has something up their sleeve. they went over there with the "old" technology and slapped everyone over there silly. they know the new viper is going to do more. thats the only reason they went and did what they did....good for them !
