Im looking for some advice on what is the correct position for the spark plug boots on the Viper engine? As we all know the spark plugs are shielded by a metal sleeve and then the long HT wire boot slips down inside the sleeve, but the top part of the boot seems to actually touch the sleeve! Recently one of my original 99 plug wires burnt through at this point!
I am wondering why the plug boot is not dead straight? Surely this would eliminate this problem? Im also thinking of removing the metal heat shields and shortening them by about 5mm to help with this problem?
