Was doin some reading and saw that in the early 90s chrysler owned lamborguini. Chrysler developed the v10 for the viper and then had their subordinates at lambo caress it over. This became the 92 powerplant.

I continued reading and their were discussions that this v10 in the viper laid tne ground work for future v10s in lamborguini ect.

So whats the awnswer? Is the viper v10 the first in a production sports car?

Did some looking, Dodge is apparantly credited for the first "modern" V-10. It was designed for a pick-up.
I couldn't find any material on a pre-modern V-10 though, which doesn't sound like it would of been a prduction
engine at any rate.
