Removal from friends list/ modification of profile from admin?

I noticed this evening that a member has been removed from my friends list. It is common for moderators/administrators to modify aspects of a member's profile without notifying the member (me)?

We don't... We would have absolutely no reason what-so-ever to even think about going through the "friends" section of your profile. The other person can "unlink" that, aka they can de-friend you which is most likely the case.

What exactly is the reason for the friend option on the website? Is it just a list so others can see who my friends are?

Well, it gives you the availability to see them, their latest threads and such. Not directly, but more like a quick way to hit their profile so you can hit the "latest threads/posts" by that person. I've never really been sold on it's usefulness.

The same individual was removed from my list. I had to re add him. It happened, not sure how or why but it did.
