Here's a list of additional components to be inspected at time of clutch service.
When replacing clutch and pressure plate inspect:
Flywheel for flatness:
:Run straight edge across flywheel and should have .012 or less taper
:Smearing, Hot-spotting should be minimal
:Exceeding above conditions requires replacement
:When replacing flywheel use new flywheel crank bolts
Pilot bearing:
:Inspect & replace if marginal
:Service with high temp grease
Hub release bearing (HRB) / Slave cylinder:
:Replace at time of clutch serivce (If low mileage inspect slave cylinder & replace release bearing only)
:Thouroughly bleed system
Master cylinder:
:Inspect if marginal replace
Inspect T-56 / TR-6060
:Inspect shifter
:Inspect rear main seal , if marginal replace
:Service trans fluid
Engine rear main seal:
:Inspect for oil leaks
:If marginal good time to replace
Driveline universal joint straps & bolts:
:Replace
Use Mopar or equivalent aftermarket parts and torque all components to factory specs:
These are the basic components to be inspected and/or replaced during your Viper's next clutch change. As you can see your parts list and pricing may be a bit more than origianlly expected. I hope this helps out a bit.
