A bill was approved today, 46 to 1 in favor a single front plate for specialty vehicles in Nebraska. It is heading for the Governor to sign. I do not have the details but I am sure there will be a cost to eliminate a front plate, but who cares I am all for it.

I would pay more for the option of 1 plate. Every time the issue is brought forward for discussion, it is washed out by police groups and concerned citizen groups here in Ohio. Don't understand why its such a problem to go to one plate? Anyone on here that can contribute to either side of the issue?

It was submitted by the Local Corvette club and missed last years deadline, but approved this year with flying colors.

Lee,

Sorry, yes no need for a front plate. On Jan 1st specialty vehicles will require only a rear plate and no front.

Colorado has a mandatory front plate law. The cops do mention it to me, but they're usually pre-occupied with 'other concerns' to hassle me about the absence of the front plate.:omg:

Front plate law here in Texas, but accompanying the law is an "out" that allows you to show that you have installed the plate and pay a $10 fee.

Sounds like you will need a Car Club sticker on the car, and a card showing your membership.

Bingo, VCA Club sticker and membership card and we will be good. Heard rumors that it might be around 50 bucks, but I would be in all day long.

I just submitted the paperwork for a single rear plate. When going to the DMV, they did not have a clue till they went up the chain and handed me the form. WIll know if it passes in a few weeks.
