I have a vapor leak on top of my gasoline tank. The dealer said I have to cut the pan out of the trunk to access it. Is this the only fix. How often has this happened.
Thanks

How do they know It's on top of the gas tank
They checked everywhere else a leak could be.
they probably did a smoke test on it to find it
I just fixed a large evap leak in a 08 coupe. You can access the fuel pump module and the hoses going to the canister and Leak detection pump through fuel pump access hole above the tank. And you can also see the canister from under the car if you remove the rear diffuser panel and move the heat shield under the tank. Pm me if you would like a little more info.
ther ya go, this would be your best bet, he has been ther^^^^^^^^
Thanks Tom, we will try that.
