I have a 92 Viper and I have had seriously bad grinding in reverse when I go out of 4 into 5 (miss and go over too far sometimes).
I'm worried about damaging my trans. I have been looking for my options to get this to work like my buddy's 94, but I haven't found a good answer except to put a switch somewhere. I know they didn't make the lockout on the 92 so I wondered about a retrofit and the possibility of adding a solenoid to my trans??? Will my transmission have a place to put the solenoid? Or is the casting different?
I founda company that sells a control box for it if I can add the solenoid. I just haven't crawled under to see if mine has the mounting holes and I don't know what I am even looking for without comparing it to someone elses.
Anyone out there have a 92 that solved this problem?
Thanks!
Scott
