Random pictures from my recent road trip. Blue Ridge Parkway, Cherahola Skyway, Tail of the Dragon, etc;

VA/MD VCA Member Jim and his friend Phil were making this trip and coincidentally I was planning to drive the BRP the same days. So, we met up.

Meeting point near DC

Amazing trip overall. ~2900 miles total of which more than 1200 miles were in the mountains barely ever hitting 5[SUP]th[/SUP] gear. The car did really well even after 4 consecutive days of hard driving followed by 700 miles drive home. I am still smiling ear to ear.

Met some awesome people and can’t wait to do this again next year including driving the BRP in its entirety.

Some great pictures, and what a trip! Looks like you all had pretty clear weather most of the time too...summers can get a bit hazy along the BRP. The Cherahola Skyway is an incredible road...and breakfast in Tellico Plains is a good way to start the day driving. Thank you very much for posting those pictures!

BTW, what does RUN CMR mean?

And who was that beauty in the black top?

The only rain we had was on Friday morning (downpour actually).

RUN CMR is Chicago Midnight Run - something a few friends get together to drive around Chicago. Just didn't get around to removing the stickers from the last run (I like them anyway).

Girl in the black top, just someone we met on the BRP that wanted to take some pics with the car.

Nice meeting you too, Ronnie. Yes, will see you next year. Drive back to Chicago was smooth. Got pulled over for passing an unmarked Tahoe on the right at 10 mph over the limit.

"Sorry officer, I thought you were one of those guys that hog the left lane".

He let me go with a "drive safe and watch your speed".
