chorps,

Prime-Rib and Lobster.. Many man hours machining his cylinder heads & intake, making sure we got the best possible velocity to achieve maximum hp & trq on the top end of the rpm range, but truth be told we give all credit to our client who turned out a first class build right out of his home garage..:2tu:

Thnx

BAD BOYZZ GARAGE:usa:
Toddy

All I have to say is I HAVE A NEED FOR SPEED!! Thanks to BBG for making it possible!

well I was considering the license plate "MPH206" for my gen V. Think that's really the top speed stock?

Go Paxton! :headbang:

Indeed. Paxton gets a bad rap on this site, but the Novi2000 has dominated within the Mustang pro racing scene for a long time. I went 206.9 on the Paxton alone, then went 209.3 with a 100-hp nitrous shot added on top. My Paxton made 3 consecutive passes over 205, I was impressed. The problem with just about every Paxton Viper combo on this site is that they are stock engines and hardly any boost. The blower isn't happy spinning that low rpm, and it feels laggy doing so. At higher blower rpm and psi, the unit feels like a completely different animal. My throttle response is instant now, and the power is a bit absurd. :)

that would be fun to see. Impressive top speeds.

Went 205+ at each of the 2007, 2008 and 2009 Texas Miles.
My new goal is 200+ in the half mile.

Thank you for posting and congrats on your runs. What is done to your engine? The FAA prohibited the use of the everglades venue we were using before I ever got a chance to use my new fifth gear which stopped the rev drop taking me out of the supercharger's sweet range. Maybe the FAA will back off one of these days. It was a great place to run with 10,400 feet and very wide.

For you guys doing the mile race, what modifications are you doing to the T-56 to keep from losing the input shaft? Or are you doing any modification to the trans? I have heard of horror stories of the trans going bu-bye at the end of a big run.

Here is my entire build thread, leading up to that Texas Mile. I detail just about everything, hopefully someone can use the info later.

http://forums.viperclub.org/threads/652567-Paxton-Supercharged-2006-Coupe-Build-Thread

As for the transmission, I have a stock TR6060 trans that was purchased from Viper Parts of America, out of a prototype 2013 Viper mule. This TR6060 has modified 5th and 6th ratios, with 5th (0.80 vs. 0.74) and 6th (0.63 vs. 0.50). It has survived numerous passes so far, but does make a bit of a whine sound in lower gears. I'll rebuild it whenever it stops shifting nice.

Going to the drag strip this Sunday, looking for traction and hopefully 9s.

I have been to the mile three times on my Gen III, and getting faster at each outing:

176.5mph (ARH Headers and Tune)
191.5mph (GG Heads/Cam, ACRX Exhaust)
195.0mph (Above, plus throttle body)

I am not pushing too much power (about 650whp all motor), but my completely stock drive train has taken the beating rather well.

Videos, respectively.

Thanks for the videos. The shorter 18s act to alter your gear ratios - yes? Nice runs.

Yes and No. Mechanically, the answer is "no" since the gear ratios are not touched. However, a shorter tire does affect the overall final ratio. You can back out equivalent gear changes. So "yes", you could perceive it as the final ratio to an equivalent of moving from a 3.07 to 3.33, OR you could hold the 3.07 gear, and you could also look at it as all gears in the transmission being 8% shorter. For example, the 5th gear ratio goes from 0.74 to a 0.8., 4th gear from 1.0 to 1.08, etc. Lastly, you can also look at as the engine producing 8% more torque all across the board. The end results is the same for all these scenarios when holding and altering dependent and independent parameters.

The proper question would be, "does the shorter diameter tire alter the final ratio?" The answer is yes.
