The car has sat for quite some time but started monthly and I decided to clean off the winter dust but the battery was dead. I hooked it up to jump it and all does is click but won't crank. The one time it cranked, I heard a electrical pop and everything went dead. Then the connections to jump start the car under the hood no longer worked so I checked the fuses, all was good. I then hooked up the cables to the actual battery which got electricity going again. Sitting with the key turned to ON, the engine light flashed 10-11 times after about 10 seconds of being solid. So then I turned the key 3 times to check any codes and it says "done". Lastly, I unhooked the battery to clear any bugs and see if that would help, still the same thing. After I pulled off the jumper cables, the battery died almost immediately so it held no juice so I'm thinking the battery is simply toast. Anyone's thoughts?
Car won't start, check engine flashes 10 times, "done" code...
