Hey guys, just bought my first Viper and I'm being told different different things about my car. It's a 96 so does this car have the motor from 1997 or 1995? I'm being told the 97 motor has better internals than the 95. Thoughts? Thanks

Picture of car and engine would help. If it is an RT, probably a Gen I, if it is a GTS, Gen 2

Yep. 1996 was a weird year, hard tops were gen 2s, vert's gen 1... But if it was a late model 1996 may have been sold as a gen 2... Easiest way to tell is on the front facia, if you have a gen 1 front end then its a gen 1 engine, same for gen 2 front end, gen 2 engine.

the car was built Nov 20th. RT-10. Does not have Gen 2 hood. I'll get pics up in a bit.
