1997 GTS question

Hi, I have been looking at Vipers lately and can't decide upon a Gen 2 or 3. But... I see this 97 close to me but something is not right. The wheels, aren't they for the Rt/10? Did the 97 GTS come with these? Anyway, anyone have any ideas and/or is the car worth looking at or anyone know any history?

Those wheels are from a Gen I Viper...92-95.

Yeah, that is a little bizarre. Not seen many going backwards for the 96-98's (which use 17 wheels).

Car looks clean and is actually not that far from me. You can always change the wheels.
