replacing the battery in my '94 RT/10

Sinse my battery appears to have gone dead I have put a charger on that indicates that the battery is fully charged and yet when I turn the key I get a click. I've read the posts I have found about changing a battery and even spoke with a very helpful gentleman about my question. Would like to ask just one more time to try to make sure I will not be harming a circuit somewhere. I think my question is the following. If I take out the old battery and install a new battery what (if anything) do I need to do (or not do) to reset the alarm or anything else that may need resetting?
