Just bought a 2004 Gen 3 Mamba - Put HF cats and Corsa Track exhaust. I don't like the stock 3.07 gears and want to
change. Most of the gearing I read about is confusing because of all the different mods done to your cars. Does anyone have a basic stock Gen 3 with a gear change? If so which gears and why ? Car is for street use only but looking for some fun
factor off the line. Thank you in advance. Short shifter and tune to follow.

I think most go with 355 or 373. I have 373 and while it's good for street, on the highway I find it to short and will likely switch to stock 307. Not that I know from experience, only heard, but at 150 with 373 your at the very top of 5th where with 307 still in 4th. I've had 355 as well and liked them better then 373. Drag strip I think the 307 saves you a gear change.

If you ever plan to go beyond stock power, 307 is where I would stay. Just my 2 cents

Just some info, with 373 at 150 you say your at the top of 5th, well shift to 6th which is a super high over drive. But that being said I think 355 are better street gear, thats what I have and I have tryed 307 to 373 and that was the best for me. Just my 1 cent, thats all I have :D

6Th gear *****, which is why I plan to go back to 307. But I think 355 probably best for street with stock power. Some are using 333 but I think they are hard to find.

Good time K, and you can actually use 6th gear on the hi way, 6th still ***** but you can be under 100mph and use it, where the car will not buck being in to high a gear.:D
