I'm trying to source some adjustable end links for a gen 4 (I'm assuming the OE links aren't adjustable). Does anyone know the rough dimensions and thread size of the stock links?
Thanks. I'm looking at Powergrid links (I have a set of theirs for my C5). They should offer the same performance as a heim-jointed end link without all the noise (and with a much longer service life). |

Hey Grant,
I have my stock swaybar hanging in the garage with its endlinks, so I took a couple measurements. The stock endlinks are 9.5" long overall. The threaded portion is 3/8" diameter, but the shank that goes into the bar conically increases to 1/2". The center-to-center distance for the ball joint pivots is ~6". Would be interested to see how those links hold up. If you're staying with the stock bar they'll probably be ok. The only endlinks I've ever had to replace due to wear were a set like these, they're OEM on the Infiniti G35 coupe. I prefer the old fashioned heavy-duty teflon-lined units. Not likely that you'll hear rod-end clunking in a Viper anyway. If you've got a bunch of $ burning a hole in your pocket, I'd recommend the blade-adjustable swaybar available through Dodge Racing. The term "blade adjustable" is heavily misused these days; this piece ($1800) is a true rotating-blade-arm adjustable bar. I had considered getting it for my autox car but it wasn't stiff enough. ![]() A shot of the piece I'm talking about: ![]() Have fun, |

In any case, I've had some extremely loud heim-jointed links. When greased they just clicked as was normal, but if you ran them for a few days without lubricating them they'd start to squeak very loudly. My car actually sounded like a herd of dump trucks going over speed bumps... Maybe this is abnormal? This is going on a new ACR, so I'm not really looking to touch the suspension. I think the most I'd do is get some lighter, hollow adjustable bars with around the same stiffness as stock. Though, a in-cockpit adjustable unit would be badass... |

Wonder what sway bars come as OE on the ACR?
Same as other 2008's? If so, how different are they than the 06's. How different are they than the comp coupes?
