Fall Foliage Run: Hot Springs, AR October 31- November 2

This year will be the fifth edition and it will be better than ever!

This years sixth annual fall foliage tour will start at beautiful in Hot Springs, Arkansas, known for its therapeutic hot baths, relaxing natural scenery, and historic downtown complete with bathhouses, art galleries, and tempting gift shops. We will begin the event Saturday morning at the Lake Hamilton Resort parking lot for a quick forty-five minute drive to nearby Lake Quachita for a home-style breakfast. Next we’ll stop in Mt. Ida to tour member Dub Clenney’s Car Collection. Then it’s on our way to scenic twenty-seven for a beautiful drive ending at the Petite Jean Mountain Car Museum followed by a light group lunch at the top of the mountain to take in the fall foliage at its best. Next we head back to Hot Springs National Park along Arkansas’ scenic highway (one of the best roads in the U.S., bar none, for Vipers!) back to the Hotel for a break before dinner. Then we’ll have a special dinner banquet at the Lake Hamilton Resort as we watch the sun set. Sunday morning we will have brunch and then say our “good-byes” until next year.

Hot Springs is a picturesque community located between several lakes with plenty of shopping and nightly entertainment, be ready to start early Saturday morning for a great day of Viper events. A complete itinerary will be mailed upon registration.

The event hotel is Lake Hamilton Resort located on Lake Quachita. We have a great group room rate, to reserve your room call 866/712-8606 and mention you are with the Viper Club. Don’t wait, this is a very busy time of the year in Hot Springs, and many hotels are already full! Our room block will be held through October 16th, so don’t dawdle! We’ll try to get this extended, but if you think you might attend, reserve a room, you can always cancel.

This will be the best Fall Run yet, we had a lot of rain through July, so the fall colors should be really bright. We also have changed the event to allow more social time, while maintaining plenty of fun Arkansas’ back road cruise time! This year we’ll be back in Hot Springs before sun set so we will not be driving at night as we have done in the past. This event has become a tradition. You will not want to miss it!

Friday, October 31st

6:00 PM to 8:00 PM:
* Event Registration in Lake Hamilton’s Sunset Lounge.

8:00 PM to ?:
* Event participants can party (and talk Vipers) at the Lounge or head downtown and enjoy historic Bath House Row in downtown Hot Springs (and it’s bars)!

Saturday, November 1st

8:00 AM to 10:30 AM:
* Meet at The Lake Hamilton Resort Lobby at 8:00 AM to cruise for Breakfast at Shangri-La (great southern cookin' plus chocolate gravy and biscuits!). Located on beautiful Lake Quachita.

10:30 AM to 12:30 PM:
* Mt Ida, Ar.: Visit and tour Dub Clenney’s shop and car collection.

12:30 AM to 4:00 PM:
* Petite Jean Mountain: A Scenic Cruise up route twenty- seven to light lunch at the top of Petite Jean Mountain and a visit to the Car Museum.

4:00 PM to 5:30 PM:
* Cruise back to Hot Springs on scenic Route seven.
* Surprise stop along the way? Maybe.

5:30 PM to 6:00 PM:
* Free Time: Relax for a few minutes!

6:00 PM to 8:00 PM:
* Dinner and Awards ceremony at the Lake Hamilton’s Resort’s restaurant all you can eat Prime Rib Buffet.
Sunday November 2nd

9:00 AM to 10:30AM:
* Breakfast and "good byes"

11:00 AM:
* Checkout and head home. Please Drive Safely.
