I get it... it's a business decision, but a BAD one, and bringing on a vette as a sight gag was a dumb@$$ move. Yes, let's remind people of the slightly cheaper/better car, and the deafening silence that is DC's response. |

It was automotive foreplay ... with no payoff ... I wish we had gone to see Wayne Newton instead ... (it was that bad)

I'm pretty sure I would have started something, at least boo whoever was on stage, maybe a nice DC SUCKS chant...at least said "why are you showing us the faster GM cars?" maybe the germans are turning into our western friends and reverse engineering everything for themselves...

Oh, grow up. Yeah, the magic actwas a bit disappointing to some, but the event itself was awesome. The track events were extremely well-organized, and top notch people ran everything.
Hats off to the staff that put together a simply wonderful event. The Viper isn't dead. Dodge'll showcase the next evolution of this great car at a larger event, as was already mentioned. |

I agree with Ben. Why show the car that knocked the Viper off the king of the hill if you don't have something that is gonna make Viper regain its throne? Were they just trying to remind us that the Vette is top dog??

For everyone that wasn't there...
It's ironic to me that you're criticizing DC so harshly then asking to see a new car, or lower prices at the next VOI- VOI10. Who do you think pays for VOI? If DC "burns in heck" who'll organize and pay for VOI10? Be patient. VOI was great! Thanks to everyone involved in the organization process. DN |

My $.02 When U R on top (read GM and the piss-poor Vette stunt at VOI); the only place to go is down...unless:
1. You fight like he!! to stay there (read Blue Devil) 2. You fight like he!! to get there (read 2008 Viper) 3. When you get to the top you can actually knock the other guy off. (Yet to be seen..I suppose implied) 4. Someone else doesn't blind-side you (read whatever the other guys are building as well) That's why the high ground is so important...aka key terrain. Easy to defend if you are already there. Hard to get there when someone else is occupying. The point is (if there is one) why even be on top if you have no inclination to stay there. Is it just a moment in time for some kicks or is it an enduring corporate philosophy. Talk is cheap. I guess we’ll have to see. |

As I'm reading all of the reviews on VOI9 and enjoying all of the pictures, I'm still confused about one thing! It seems there must have been several reps from DC there, was the question of the new Viper ever pitched to one of these DC Reps directly, and if so, what was their response? It's would seem that that question was thrown around a million times, but haven't read where anyone personally did it!
